Every day we hear speculations that Apple will release a new mini tablet, therefore we tried to gather some information about the new iPad Mini 2, hoping that we will arouse your curiosity.
So far, the new iPad Mini 2 is expected to be released by the end of this year, but, due to some production problems, it is possible that the release will be delayed until March or April 2014. So, until then, we’ll provide you with some information about the iPad Mini 2.
Let’s start with the screen. AU Optronics is designing a special screen with a display of 7.9 inch, with a density of 324 pixels per inch. The bad news is that probably it will not have a retina display, because of some problems they had in the past. However, if in the end Apple chooses to use a retina display, it means that they will have to install a bigger battery (that will last 10 hours of screen time), resulting in a heavier and 0.3 mm thicker tablet. There are also rumors that say Apple will go to Samsung, LG or Sharp to manufacture the display.
The processor is expected to be an A7, also dual-core, with quad-core graphic, but it is possible to have an A6X chip, like the iPad 4, that is proven to work fast and impeccable. Also, the new iPad is going to upgrade the camera from a 5MP to an 8MP sensor, and a 2MP front camera, from 1.2MP.
The price of this new tablet will be between 300 and 600 US dollars, the variation depending on which model you choose (16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB).
With this information in mind, we really hope that your interest for the new iPad Mini 2 has increased, and the wait for the release will not be in vain.
