Whether you have a leather case for your iPhone or whether you are planning to purchase a tablet portfolio or a laptop carrier made of leather, it is best if you also read some tips about how to maintain it in a good condition. Leather products, generally, donít come very cheap; they are worth it, however, as long as you know what to do in order to extend their lifespan.

It is very important, for instance, to avoid certain habits that could damage the leather: storing such a carrier in plastic, but also keeping it uncovered in sunlight is unadvisable; plastic does not allow the air in and, thus, the leather will dry out; sunlight exposure has the same effect. Exposing such a laptop case to sunlight for many hours will not only cause the leather to dry, but also its color to fade. So donít leave the leather wrap for your iPhone just about anywhere in the house, neither the leather cases for your tablet or laptop. Find a storage place that is well ventilated, dry and cool and, if you plan to keep them stored for a longer period of time, cover them with a cotton rag in order to prevent dust from damaging the leather.

Of course, no matter how hard you try to protect your leather case, it will get dirty at some point. When you decide to wash it, pay attention to the type of products you use. Avoid regular detergents; instead, purchase cleaning products that are made for leather items. Even when you are using high-quality cleaning products for leather, apply protectors and conditioners as well before and after cleaning. You might be reluctant to invest in such products, but the truth is that it will keep your leather carrier as good as new, so, in the long term, it will actually cost you less than if you donít use them
