What is Leather?

Leather is a versatile material. When you are in the market for leather goods such as leather cases, you need to know the difference between premium leather and cheap leather.

Leather goods are made with varying forms of leather. Premium leather is often made from deerskin or lambskin. The leather produced from deerskin and lambskin is often softer and used in more expensive items such as leather cases, jackets, and more.

The most common form of leather is made from cattle skin. This type of leather is cheaper than deerskin and lambskin leather, as well as kangaroo leather. Many goods are made out of cattle skin leather.

The type of leather used can make a big difference between what is considered cheap leather goods, and premium leather goods. For example, buckskin leather is produced in a way that turns the leather soft and supple. Other leather goods such as nubuck and napa leather are also used for higher-end leather goods. The softer the leather feels, the more expensive it tends to be. Making leather soft requires a different leathering process than tougher leather. Our leather goods are top quality and processed to be soft.

When you are looking at leather goods, you need to choose products that will hold up well, but still look and feel appealing. Cheaper leather may crack, and not look as nice as leather that has been properly cared for.
