Why Businessmen Should Not Use Backpacks

Posted by Anthony on 1/24/2014 to Business/Workbags
If you are like most businessmen, you have a lot to carry around with you on a daily basis. In order to do your job correctly, you likely lug around dozens of documents, your laptop and even office accessories. Those who don't contain their items in some way run the risk of dropping things, damaging things, or having things stolen.

Someone who is a recent graduate, and who is new to the world of business, may initially think that the best way to carry his personal belongings is in a backpack. This is because, for at least twelve years in school, we are taught that a backpack is the best way to carry things from one place to another. However, in the world of business there is a better way. Simply stated, businessmen should use briefcases.

Briefcases = Professional Image

What do you think of when you picture a backpack? Backpacks are usually synonymous with little school boys hugging their mothers and running to the bus. They are also synonymous with rugged outdoorsmen carrying a week’s worth of necessities as they hike the Rocky Mountains. Backpacks are great for carrying a lot of things at once, but they do not give off a professional image.

If you want to look the part of a professional businessman, you ought to wear professional clothing and accessorize your look with a high quality leather briefcase. Unlike a backpack, a briefcase will not ruin your clothing through friction. This will save you a lot of money in the long run because your nice business clothes will not undergo the wear and tear that results from wearing a backpack on your back. Also, briefcases are large enough to fit all of your important documents and electronics, but they can be small enough to fit into tight spaces. There are hundreds of different briefcase styles to choose from in order to meet your unique business needs.

Build your professional image today by investing in a briefcase, a businessman’s version of a schoolboy’s backpack.
